Templates for Kobo
Every templated.shop product ships as a dedicated Kobo edition, sized to the exact panel of your device, so planners and notebooks fill the screen with no grey bars. Fully hyperlinked, vector-crisp on e-ink, and delivered the moment you buy.
Made for your exact Kobo screen
Kobo covers two quite different sizes here. The Elipsa 2E is a 10.3″ 1404×1872 panel and takes the standard 445×594pt page. The Libra Colour is 7″ at 1264×1680, which works out to 0.752, so it is 4:3 in practice despite often being listed otherwise. It gets the compact edition instead: larger type, an opened-up writing pitch and a single-column daily page, so a 7″ screen stays readable rather than being a shrunken 10″ layout.

- Kobo Libra Colour7″ · 1264×1680 · 4:3 · Colour
- Made for the Kobo Libra Colour (7″), a roomier compact layout with a colour accent, sized so writing space stays comfortable.

How your Kobo handles PDF files
- Getting the file on
- Via USB, or a linked Dropbox or Google Drive account. Step-by-step below.
- Tap links
- Kobo's PDF support includes active hyperlinks alongside table of contents and bookmarks, so tap-to-jump navigation works as built. Use your finger; the stylus is for the annotation layer.
- Duplicating a page
- No. Kobo has no page manipulation for PDFs at all. The Stylus writes and annotates on non-DRM PDFs, and that is the extent of it. Every edition ships an extra notes page behind each day and week, so the space is built in.
Across the devices we sell to: reMarkable can duplicate a page inside a PDF; Kindle Scribe and Supernote cannot; Boox can insert a blank page but not copy an existing one.
Device behaviour verified against Kobo’s documentation, July 2026.
Getting a planner onto your Kobo
- Connect by USB and copy the PDF across, or add it through a linked Dropbox or Google Drive account.
- Open it from your library as a PDF book.
- Mark it up with the Kobo Stylus.
What goes wrong
- Annotation goes through Kobo's markup layer, and only on non-DRM PDFs, which ours are, but it is worth knowing if you mix in files from elsewhere.
- Pick the right edition: the Elipsa 2E and Sage take the standard layout, while the 7″ Libra Colour takes the compact one. The standard layout on a 7″ screen reads small.
- Tap links with your finger rather than the stylus.
How we know this
We build and test the files, not the tablets. Everything above about how your Kobo handles PDFs comes from Kobo’s own documentation, checked in July 2026. We don’t own every device on this page and won’t pretend to.
What we do test is the file. Every page is rendered at the panel’s true pixel resolution before release, and every internal link is resolved automatically: 18,904 of them in the 888-page daily planner, none broken. If something behaves differently on your device, tell us and we’ll correct this page.
Kobo questions
Which Kobo edition do I need?
The Elipsa 2E and Sage take the standard Kobo edition. The Libra Colour takes its own compact edition, because at 7″ the standard 10.3″ layout reads too small. The compact build scales the type up, opens the writing line height, and switches the daily page to a single column.
Isn't the Libra Colour a 3:4 screen?
It is usually listed that way, but the numbers say otherwise: 1264×1680 works out to 0.752, which is 4:3 in practice. That is why the same page shape fits it; it just gets the compact layout for the smaller size.
How does writing work on a Kobo?
Through Kobo's annotation layer with the Kobo Stylus, on non-DRM PDFs. It is a different model from the tablets that treat a PDF as a writing surface directly, but it works on files like ours.
Can I add or duplicate pages?
No. Kobo does not offer page manipulation inside PDFs. The layouts account for that: there is an extra notes page behind every day and every week already.
Will the colour edition look right on the Libra Colour?
That is what it is built for. The Libra Colour edition is the colour, compact build; the Elipsa 2E and Sage edition is greyscale and standard-sized. Each one matches the panel it is named for.
All 7 Kobo editions are above. See the full catalog or ask us a question.
