Privacy policy

Last updated 25 July 2026. This policy explains how "Templated.Shop" (the data controller for this site) collects, uses and shares information when you buy from us, contact us, or browse the site. We collect as little as possible: there are no user accounts and no advertising trackers. It does not cover third parties we don’t control, such as Polar or Etsy, each of which has its own privacy policy.

What we collect

• Privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics through our host (pages visited, referrer, approximate country). It is aggregated and doesn’t identify you: no cross-site tracking, no personal profiles.
• Aggregate search data from Google Search Console (which search terms bring people here). This is grouped by Google and does not identify you.
• If you email us for support, we keep that correspondence (your email address and whatever you choose to tell us) so we can help.

What Polar collects at checkout

Checkout is handled by Polar Software Inc. as merchant of record, so Polar is the seller on your receipt. When you buy, Polar processes your payment details, email address and billing country under its own privacy policy. Polar passes us your email address and order details so we can deliver support; we never see your full payment card.

How we use your information

• To deliver your purchase and give you access to your files.
• To answer your questions and provide customer support.
• To resolve disputes or problems with an order.
• To meet our legal, tax and record-keeping obligations.
• To understand which pages and products are useful and improve them.

Free downloads and marketing email

Most of the files on our free paper pagedownload directly and ask for nothing at all — no email address, no form.

The complete packs go through the same Polar checkout as a purchase, at a price of zero, so that Polar can email you the download link. That checkout has an optional, untickedbox asking whether you’d like to hear when new free packs and templates land. If you tick it, we may email you a few times a year, and every message carries an unsubscribe link. If you leave it unticked — or if you buy something — you will only ever hear from us about that specific download, order or support request.

We never buy, rent or scrape email addresses, and we don’t treat a purchase or a download as consent to market to you. Your address and your answer to that box are held in Polar’s customer records; you can ask us to delete both at any time (see “Your rights” below).

Sharing and disclosure

We don’t sell or rent your personal information. We share it only where needed:

• Polar, to process your payment and deliver your files as merchant of record.
• Service providers that run this business (our hosting and analytics provider, and email), sharing only what each needs to do its job.
• Legal compliance, where reasonably necessary to respond to a lawful request, meet a tax obligation, prevent fraud, or protect our rights and the safety of others.
• A business transfer, if the business is ever sold or merged, and only as permitted by law.

Data retention

We keep support correspondence for as long as we need it to help you and to meet our record-keeping obligations; we keep business records for at least five years. Polar retains order and payment records as merchant of record under its own policy. Our analytics are aggregated and are not tied to you.

International transfers

Polar and the services we use to run this site operate outside Australia, including in the United States, so your information may be stored and processed in countries whose data-protection laws differ from your own. We only transfer or process it as needed to provide our service and meet our obligations.

Cookies

This site sets no marketing cookies and our analytics are cookieless. Polar’s embedded checkout may set cookies strictly necessary to process your payment.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, including under the GDPR and the UK GDPR, you may ask us to access, correct or delete the information we hold, object to or restrict how we use it, withdraw any consent you gave, or complain to your local data-protection authority.
